It’s being called the biggest drug bust in the services history.
This morning, St. Thomas Police held a press conference to detail a drug trafficking investigation that resulted in 19 arrests, hundreds of charges and over $500,000 worth of drugs taken off the street.
Back in March, the St. Thomas Police Street Crimes Unit began investigating crystal meth and fentanyl trafficking through the city. Multiple raids and seizures netted police over 4 kilograms of meth, around 60 grams of fentanyl and 58 grams of purple fentanyl. Police also seized a large quantity of cocaine and numerous prescription medications.
The accused range in age from 26 to 59.
