Elgin County OPP is continuing to investigate a robbery that took place October 5th in Belmont.

Investigation revealed that a man had entered food store with an edged weapon and demanded money from the attendant. The male took off with a quantity of cash. Officers from London’s Highway Safety Division along with Middlesex and Oxford OPP responded to the robbery.

The suspect is described as a white male with an unshaven face, in his 40s and over 6 feet tall. He was wearing dark coloured pants with green on them, a grey coloured jacket with fur around the hood and carrying an older green re-usable shopping bag.
