Residents in London will soon be able get a Big Mac with a side of environmental responsibility.
The McDonald’s location at 1033 Wonderland Road South has been selected as one of two stores transitioning to “Green Concept Restaurants”
In the coming months, customers will see a shift to wooden cutlery and stir sticks, paper straws, fiber drink lids and new renewable packaging.
The burger giant says by 2025 it plans to have all guest packaging coming from renewable sources and will recycle 100 percent of that packaging in restaurants.
The second pilot store will be located in Vancouver.
