Perhaps like the saying goes, “No news is good news.” As of noon today (Friday), there have been no new updates in the town of Tillsonburg or most of the surrounding area in the past 24 hours. So, to repeat, here’s a partial list of what is closed:

-Tillsonburg Community Centre (since Mar. 16)

-Tillsonburg Fire Hall (closed to the public, but still ready to respond to emergencies)

-Tillsonburg Airport terminal building and the site restaurant (since Mar. 17)

-Annandale National Historic Site (since Mar. 13)

-Senior Centre (since Mar. 13)

-Oxford County Libraries, including Tillsonburg (since Mar. 13)

-Health Club

-Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital and Alexandra Hospital in Ingersoll have restricted visiting hours to “essential vistors only” who must pass screening at the Emergency Dept. entrance

-entry to the Customer Service Centre (10 Lisgar Ave.), Corporate Office (200 Broadway) and Cemetery Office (Simcoe Street) is by appointment only (since Mar. 16)

Make sure to check the Town of Tillsonburg website at www.tillsonburg.ca/covid19 for any updates.

In Aylmer, the state of emergency remains in place, declared by Mayor Mary French (as of 1pm Mar. 18). All non-essential town programs and services are cancelled. Town Hall remains closed until further notice, as well as rec facilities and related programming. Essential town services will continue but with special safety precautions.
