UPDATE: Stolen Vehicle Investigation

The Woodstock Police Service and Oxford OPP are working together throughout their respective ongoing investigations and it is believed that the same individuals involved in this investigations are involved in the OPP vehicle robbery incident.

On Monday, March 23, 2020 at approximately 3:48 p.m., the Woodstock Police Service received a report from a concerned citizen that was following behind a stolen 2016 black Dodge Ram pickup truck.  The caller followed it to the area of the Westmount Motel located on Beachville Road.

Police immediately responded to the area and attempted to block in the pick up truck utilizing marked police cruisers.  The male driver reversed the vehicle, striking one of the police vehicles.  The stolen vehicle then proceeded to strike a second police cruiser before heading down the driveway.  As the pickup existed the driveway, it struck a pickup truck travelling east bound on Beachville Road.

The stolen vehicle failed to stop for Police and it was last seen travelling west towards the village of Beachville.

One female driver was taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.  Total damages to three vehicles is estimated at $20,000.00.

Suspects involved are a white male driver and a female passenger.

Original Story:

The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a stolen vehicle from Beachville Road. Two people approached a vehicle and demanded the driver and passenger out. An edged weapon was used in the offence. This occurred around 4:00 p.m. on March 23, 2020.

Police have recovered the stolen vehicle in Norfolk County on March 24, 2020.

At this time the Oxford County Crime Unit is investigating this incident. They are asking anyone recognizing the two people pictured below to contact police at 1-888-310-1122.
