Norfolk OPP are crediting the quick thinking actions of officer’s and Good Samaritans in saving a man’s life on three different days at three different addresses after administering naloxone.

 

On Friday, March 20, 2020, at approximately 4:59 p.m., police received a call to attend a West Street address for a 29-year-old male that was in medical distress.

 

On Sunday, March 22, 2020, at approximately 11:53 p.m., police received a call to attend a Talbot Street South address for the same 29-year-old male that was in medical distress inside a residence.

 

On Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at approximately 12:47 a.m., police again received a call to attend a Robinson Street address for the  29-year-old male that was in medical distress after being located in a stairwell.

 

In all incidents, OPP officers and Good Samaritans identified that the male was in medical crisis from what appeared to be an opioid overdose. In each instance, naloxone was administered when the male began to breathe.
