Oxford County has one more new case of the coronavirus. Southwestern Public Health is reporting the new patient is a male in his 50’s. The source of the virus transmission and the patient’s status is pending. While it’s Oxford County’s eighth case, two previous cases have been resolved. One more new case reported today (Friday) is a female in her 60’s in St. Thomas, who is currently self-isolating. It’s the Railway City’s second Covid-19 case. Southwestern Public Health covers Oxford and Elgin counties and the city of St. Thomas. There is a total of 20 confirmed cases since the pandemic began, half of them in Elgin County, including two deaths.

Many recreation and other facilities in Tillsonburg remain closed and Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, other area hospitals and Oxford County Paramedic Services are continuing to appeal for specific items.
