Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit staff have declared an outbreak of COVID-19 at Caressant Care Courtland long-term care facility.

One staff member has tested positive. This staff member is not working at the facility and is currently in self-isolation at home.

All residents and staff will be tested. There are no residents currently sick with COVID-19. Residents are currently being self-isolated in their rooms, where they are also receiving all meals. Staff are wearing full personal protective equipment.

The Health Unit is also currently conducting an outbreak investigation at a seasonal agricultural workers residence. At the current time, there are no confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 at this residence.

Health Unit staff have initiated a public health management plan.
