Woodstock Police responded to the City of Woodstock’s Dog Park on Henry Street at 9:10 PM on September 17, 2020, following reports of sewing needles located at the dog park. At approximately 9:00 AM City Parks Staff and Woodstock Police Officers were on scene again as Parks Staff located additional needles this morning. This is an active ongoing investigation that Woodstock Police Service is taking every effort to ensure the safety of children and animals in our community. Please continue to be careful in public areas and report any findings of sharps to the Woodstock Police Service immediately.

 

Woodstock Police asks that if anyone has video footage in the area, information about suspicious purchases of sewing needles or thumb tacks to please call the Woodstock Police Service Communications Centre at 519-537-2323 or Crime Stoppers at 519-421-TIPS or 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Please do not submit information via Facebook as it is not monitored 24/7.
