One new case of Covid-19 is reported today by Southwestern Public Health, which covers Oxford and Elgin County, bringing the regional total up to 13. The new case is in West Elgin. In just one week, the total has climbed rather dramatically from just one case last Friday, in Central Elgin (which has since been resolved), to 13 current cases. By Wednesday, the total had risen to 6 active cases, doubling to 12 cases yesterday.

Currently, Oxford County has 10 of the 13 cases. Here’s the breakdown by municipality: Tillsonburg has 4 cases; Ingersoll and Woodstock have 2 each; and East Zorra-Tavistock and Norwich have 1 case each.

Elgin County continues to have 3 active coronavirus cases. One case in St. Thomas has been resolved since yesterday, still leaving the city with 1 active case. With 1 case each, Aylmer and West Elgin make up the rest of the count in Elgin.
