Dolly Parton has given a fresh take on her goddaughter’s song “Wrecking Ball.”

The iconic performer showcases a fresh rendition of the song on her highly anticipated album Rockstar, and naturally collaborates with the talented 30-year-old vocalist for a captivating duet.

This year commemorates the ten year milestone of the song, which Miley initially released in August 2013 as the second single from her album Bangerz.  By the conclusion of the song, a seamless transition occurs from the lyrics “I will always want you” to the iconic phrase “I will always love you,” which became a massive hit for Dolly and was further popularized by Whitney Houston in the film The Bodyguard.

Earlier this summer, Dolly shared her experience of hearing “Wrecking Ball” for the first time. Dolly says she felt the same way she felt hearing Whitney’s rendition of “I Will Always Love You.” “I was driving, heard that one, and I almost wrecked. And when I heard ‘Wrecking Ball,’ I almost wrecked again!” said Dolly.
