Country music superstar Jelly Roll won big as Best New Artist at the 57th CMA Awards, but he broke the one thing that represents his hard work, his CMA Award.

Nashville’s News 2 was live when glass could be heard breaking backstage. “Oh goodness, Jelly Roll just broke his award,” gasped News 2’s Stephanie Langston as co-host Laura Schweizer looked around the corner to survey the damage.

A security guard stationed himself before the broken glass so no one would get hurt.

The accident came after Jelly Roll’s inspiring speech to accept his Best New Artist Award. Hopefully, CMA will replace Jelly Roll’s award.
