Following her performance at a Grand Ole Opry event over the weekend, Elle King postponed her Friday show (January 26) at Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth, Texas, till September 21. The news follows King’s profanity-filled performance at a tribute show honoring Dolly Parton’s 78th birthday at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.  A video of the performance shows King slurring her words and forgetting the song’s lyrics as she attempts to cover Parton’s “Marry Me,” at one point even calling herself “hammered.” King’s next scheduled concert, according to her tour calendar, is for a concert on February 22 in Shipshewana, Indiana. A representative for King confirmed to Billboard that the Texas gig had been postponed; however, her team did not provide an explanation for the postponement.
