Anyone who has ever been involved with construction of a new building or major renovations on an existing building knows that there are inspections that have to be passed in order to continue. That includes Morgan Wallen‘s downtown Nashville bar, This Bar.

This Bar missed it’s projected Memorial Day weekend opening due to an inability to obtain a beer license because they have not yet been approved by the fire marshal and the Metro Codes Department, according to Nashville’s NBC affiliate, WSMV.

A new opening date has not been announced.

The restaurant group that owns Morgan’s bar put out this statement,

“When we open, we want ‘This Bar’ to be an exceptional experience for guests. Unfortunately, the process requires more time, and we are not able to open and provide that experience for Memorial Day Weekend.”
