The saying goes that there’s no such thing as bad publicity and in the case of Morgan Wallen, that seems pretty true. Of course when your mom hops on your PR train, then the ride can be even more wild.

Lesli Wallen, mother to the country music superstar, recently weighed in on the Nashville City Council decision to prohibit a sign that was to hang outside of Morgan’s downtown bar. The council banned the sign primarily because of the singer’s behavior, including using racial slurs, throwing a chair from the roof of a six-story bar and, a few years before, becoming intoxicated and belligerent in another downtown Nashville nightclub.

On an Instagram post made by Country Cord, Lesli commented “Way to go Morgan, the city of Nashville says “Thank you for all of your help bringing in millions of revenue.” Of course, Morgan’s legion of loyal fans rendered plenty of support to her comment.

As we previously reported, Morgan’s bar, This Bar, was unable to open anyway over it’s originally projected Memorial Day weekend after being unable to obtain a beer license because it has not yet been approved by the fire marshal.
