This week meet Cory

My name is Cory, and my foster dad says I’m not a lap dog, but I try very hard to prove him wrong! I am a 3 year old German Shepherd crossed with a Husky and boy do I love to run and chase and play and run and play some more!! I am friendly with other dogs and just want to play with everyone. I walk well on leash with a pinch collar, and would probably do well with a halter style collar too. I like to ride in the car and just look out the window and lay down quietly. I’ve not been in a home with little children and would probably knock them down because I’m pretty excitable and am still remembering not to jump up. I can sit and lay down and sometimes will come when you call me back. I don’t chew things I’m not supposed to and haven’t been caught doing anything naughty while my foster dad is at work. I like kitties, but they don’t appreciate how much I want to be friends. I’m looking for a family that will play with me lots (did I mention I really like to play?), with kids older than 10 (so I don’t knock them down), let me run in a fenced in backyard, throw the ball (a lot) and take me for lots of walks. I have been flea treated and dewormed, neutered, up to date on my vaccines, heartworm tested and microchipped. An application to adopt me can be found at www.oxfordcountyanimalrescue.com. My adoption fee is $375.
