The number of active cases is coming down. Southwestern Public Health’s data release today shows the number of active cases in Elgin County is down, while Oxford County has shown no change since yesterday. Southwestern Public Health covers Elgin and Oxford counties and the city of St. Thomas. Overall, the number of cases has dropped from 27 to 23.

In Elgin County, 4 fewer active cases has resulted in their active case total dropping from 11 to 7. Breaking it down by municipality, St. Thomas has gone from six cases to four, Dutton/Dunwich has dropped from three to just one, while Aylmer and Malahide still have one case each.

In Oxford County, the stats are the same from yesterday as far as the number of active cases are concerned, but there’s been a bit of a redistribution of the virus.
