A release from the Haldimand Norfolk Health Unit states one resident of Cedar Crossing Retirement Home has tested positive for COVID-19.

All residents and employees of the facility have been tested. Some test results are pending. The tests that have been reported are negative, beyond this one resident.

Residents are currently being self-isolated in their rooms, where they are also receiving all meals. Staff have been advised to wear full personal protective equipment when caring for patients.

Health Unit staff in collaboration with the Cedar Crossing team have initiated a full public health management plan.
