Today’s data release from Southwestern Public Health, for Oxford County, Elgin County and the city of St. Thomas, continues to show a slow but steady decline in the number of Covid-19 active cases. The total number of cases has dropped from 10 to 9 since yesterday.

Three cases in St. Thomas account for the 3 cases in Elgin County.

In Oxford County, Ingersoll reports a resolved case dropping their total from 3 to 2. Combined with 2 active cases each in Tillsonburg and Woodstock, that accounts for the 6 total cases in Oxford County.

All patients and essential visitors who enter Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital and Alexandra Hospital in Ingersoll will have to wear a mask. Patients with scheduled appointments are asked to bring a mask, either cloth or disposable, when they come to the hospitals. If patients don’t have a mask when they arrive, they will be provided with one at the hospital entrance. This also applies to any visitors to the hospital including visiting health professionals, contractors, delivery personnel and essential patient visitors. Hospital staff are also required to wear masks while in the hospitals.
