Woodstock Police charge man for laying sharp objects around local playgrounds

Update: We’ve been told the accused shares his name with another Corey Montgomery in Woodstock, who is now receiving harassing messages online. Please do not send messages through Facebook or other social media platforms to people in these police reports, as it may not be heading to the correct person. 

Woodstock Police have made an arrest and laid charges after a citizen notified Police of a suspicious person in the park early this morning.

Woodstock Police responded quickly after a reported suspicious male was observed in the area of the Southside Park playground at approximately 3:15 AM Thursday, September 24^th, 2020. Police located and arrested a 37 year old Woodstock male in the area of Southside Park.

After further investigation, Corey MONTGOMERY (37) has been charged with Mischief and is before the courts.
