On Thursday, September 24, 2020, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand/Norfolk County Community Street Crime Unit along with members of the Provincial Joint Cannabis Enforcement Team and Emergency Response Team members executed a search warrant at a Windham Road 12, Norfolk County address.

 

During the course of the search warrant, several individuals attempted to flee from the property. As a result, police took 27 individuals into custody without incident and seized approximately $2.1 million in Cannabis plants.

 

All 27 individuals have been charged with unlawfully cultivate cannabis contrary to section 12 (6) (a) of the Cannabis Act.

 

The investigation is ongoing and a complete list with names and charges will be released in the coming days as police anticipate further arrests surrounding this investigation.
