According to today’s data release from Southwestern Public Health, which covers Oxford and Elgin counties, the total number of active Covid-19 cases has gone up a bit, from 46 cases yesterday to 49 today.

There has been no increase in Elgin County’s numbers. They’re still at 37 total cases with 35 in Bayham, while Aylmer and St. Thomas have been at 1 case each for most of the week.

The 3 new cases are in Oxford County, where the total has gone from 9 to 12 cases. Woodstock had dropped to 4 cases in recent days, but their total has climbed back up to 7 confirmed cases. That’s where the 3 new cases are located. Tillsonburg and Norwich still have 2 cases each and there is still just 1 case in South-West Oxford.

One week ago, there were only 16 active cases in the area: 3 in Aylmer, 1 in Tillsonburg and 12 in Woodstock.
